1. About this app

Essence Cut AI ("the app", "we") is a Windows desktop application for content creators. Heavy processing (transcription, analysis, rendering) runs on the user's own computer. A small backend operated by us at essencecutai.online provides accounts, publishing, scheduling and short-lived storage of finished videos.

2. Data that stays on your computer

• Source videos, films and documentary sources, transcripts, shot maps, keyframes, voice files, rendered videos and project databases.
• Gradium voice keys, stored in the Windows secure vault of your PC.
• Browser profiles used to keep you signed in to your own Gemini / ChatGPT account for the hidden-browser automation.

None of these are uploaded to be processed. The app does not embed a third-party AI API and never sends video to an AI provider; prompts contain text only (transcript excerpts, shot descriptions, your settings).

3. Data stored in your cloud space

• Account: e-mail, display name, hashed password.
• Linked social accounts: OAuth access and refresh tokens for YouTube (Google), TikTok, Meta (Facebook / Instagram) and Blogger, plus display name and avatar — encrypted at rest (Fernet) and used only to publish what you explicitly choose and to label the account in the app.
• ElevenLabs API keys you add to the pool — encrypted at rest, used only to call ElevenLabs on your behalf.
• Finished videos you render, uploaded so they can be published or scheduled — deleted automatically 24 hours after upload, or immediately when you delete the project.
• Thumbnails / covers attached to those videos — same lifetime.
• Film To Story / Documentary snapshots: the project state (script, settings, voiceover files, poster) without the film or source videos, so a project can be restored on another PC. Deleted with the project or after the retention period.
• Scheduled posts and their status, first-comment texts, Telegram chat id if you enable notifications, Buffer personal key if you use Buffer (encrypted).

4. Third parties

The app talks only to: the platforms you connect (TikTok Login Kit / Content Posting API; Meta Graph API for Pages and Instagram professional accounts; Google APIs for YouTube and Blogger), Buffer if you connect it, ElevenLabs / Gradium if you add keys, ImgBB if you add a key (image hosting), Telegram if you add a bot, TMDB for film posters, and your own AI provider through its normal website in a browser window on your PC. No analytics SDK, no advertising, no data sale.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy

Essence Cut AI's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only the YouTube and Blogger scopes needed to upload videos, set thumbnails and publish articles to your own channel / blog. Revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6. TikTok and Meta data

TikTok: public profile (display name, avatar, open id) to label the account, upload scopes to post what you choose; revoke under Manage app permissions. Meta: permissions to list your Pages and Instagram accounts and to publish on them; revoke under Facebook Settings → Business Integrations.

7. Retention and deletion

Tokens are kept while the account stays linked; disconnecting deletes them. Finished videos and thumbnails: 24 hours. Project snapshots: while the project exists. Deleting your account removes everything. For any deletion request write to [email protected]; we act within 30 days.

8. Security

HTTPS everywhere; tokens and keys encrypted at rest; the local backend listens on 127.0.0.1 only; public download links for videos are signed and expire.

9. Children

The app is for users who meet the minimum age of the platforms they connect (13+ or 16+ depending on jurisdiction).
